Honestly, I didn’t expect much as the price point indicates it is budget accommodation, but it well and truly exceeded my expectations. My first stay was in September after a late arrival. To my surprise, this awesome space had everything I needed and more! It was an extremely clean, well thought out and useful space. I was so happy with it, that I’ve stayed 3 more times in my travels to Auckland, since then! 😁 The staff are efficient, quick and very welcoming! And best of all, you’re within walking distance of a supermarket, food places and the warehouse. There are other shops within the vicinity, but those are the few I used and noticed. You can also catch the bus straight from the international terminal to the hotel, it only costs around $6.00 per ticket at the machine outside. Just ask for directions. It’s about 3-4mins tops. Well worth the stay!!

It is a very convenient location for the airport and it has a supermarket, warehouse and takeaways such as taco and kfc close by and Macias a 7min walk. You can park for free and the airport transfer yellow bus. Frequents this accommodation or you can choose to take a 20 - 25min walk to the airport. Intl and domestic. If you want to go to manukau or onehunga the orange airport bus comes on the main road every 15mins. The staff are really informative and helpful. There is free milk downstairs at the little kitchenette and cereals for breakfast available. A nice eating area. The only downfall is the price for the room maybe not be good as the room is so tiny. We had a family room. 2 adt 2 children and three 24L bags and it was a bit much to be in the room. There was hardly space to walk. However they do offer storage for luggage.

Great location from the airport, which was handy when we arrived on a 2:00am flight. The shuttle bus from the airport was frequent and the bus driver was very helpful the next morning when we had to pick up our rental car from the airport. Check-in was easy (staff were very friendly and patient with our very tired selves) and the room whilst simple, was exactly what we needed after a day of flying (hot shower and a comfy bed). Our kids adored the bunk beds in our family room as well. And while we didn't have the time to explore, we also discovered upon leaving that it is several cafes and shops across the road (great for a coffee pickup, or purchasing lollies for your plane trip).

The Ibis Budget is just that-Budget, but it is a great price, clean, quiet, comfortable, close to the airport that you can easily walk if you have time and your luggage permits (and the weather). It is perfect for an overnight stay if you arrive late or need to leave early...or any other flight time actually. The hotel offer shuttles across to and from the terminals if needed. There is a great little bar restaurant next door, a supermarket, the Warehouse, the Icebreaker Outlet shop and a few others all within a stroll. Its is always my first choice of reasonable priced accomodation at Auckland Airport. Highly reccommend.

Check in was very easy. Staff friendly & helpful. Was easy to purchase bus tickets for the shuttle bus to the airport. which ran every 10 mins (10 mins away) (Walking to & from airport about 20 mins away) The downstairs availability to free tea/coffee etc - instant or with a machine - & basic crockery to use after buying your own "meals" from supermarket across the road was excellent & a bonus. The rooms were small, but VERY clean & functional for an overnight stay. Flight times for arrivals/departures for international & domestic flights displayed downstairs. Quiet corridors enabling one to sleep easily.
